Our Mission
The Moving In Project aims to ease the transition into permanent housing by helping transform newly occupied spaces into comfortable, functional homes. Through donated household goods, volunteer support, and thoughtful coordination, we help ensure each move-in begins with dignity and care.
The Moving In Project supports a diverse group of individuals and families moving into permanent housing, including veterans, seniors, individuals with disabilities or health-related challenges, those facing financial hardship, and families with children.

What we do
The Moving In Project is a volunteer-led organization of seniors dedicated to supporting individuals and families as they transition into permanent housing. We collect donated furniture and household items and coordinate their delivery to storage facilities, where newly housed individuals and families can select what they need to create safe, welcoming homes.

The Moving In Project is made possible by a committed group of senior volunteers who generously share their time, energy, and hands-on support. Together with our founder, they form the heart of the organization—working collaboratively to ensure each move-in is handled with care and respect.
